Here’s a Quick Way to get back your Girlfriend

Relationship breaks ! Relationships are difficult to maintain. Even with the best of intentions, relationships may be neglected or, the two of you involved may forget to nurture and took things for granted. Then the relationship breaks down.

* You should not beg for her to come back. That would mean desperation. She might be irritated if you frequently call her. This would appear like a blame game and might only induce guilt. This might scare her away or lead her to cut off all communication.
* Keep your communication lines open. She might be more inclined to talk with you about the things that made your relationship hit rock bottom. It would be easier for you to ask for forgiveness. You should also forgive her for anything wrong that she might have done.
* If she is dating someone else, choose your words carefully. Your words have considerable weight and how you say will make difference.
* Never bad mouth her new beau. It only makes you look bad and jealous. She is likely to not talk to you afterwards. Women have a tendency to already know that you may be jealous. The best thing for you to do is show her how mature you actually are. Sometimes by wishing her good luck. It’s called reverse psychology in relationships.
* Many ex couples are choosing to stay friends if the break up was amicable. If she is able to call you after the break up then you still have a fighting chance. Should she bring up her new hunk, you should hold back on doing trash talking. Let her figure things out on her own and let her come to you if she wants to. Give her some advice after you listen to talk.
* By not badmouthing her or criticising him, she will realize how mature you actually are. This means she will want to keep you as a friend and if it does not work out with her new beau. You can be someone who she puts her trust and feelings with.
* Don’t be there when she wants you. You need her to miss you. Get busy or ignore her calls.

Top 5 games for women : Gaming industry is not ignoring women

There is evidence to suggest that, despite the obstacles, young girls carry on playing games.
Research done by gaming firm Electronic Arts' found that 40% of teenage girls played video games but, crucially, they seem to lose interest within a year.
For teenage girls, at a complex stage of development, it may simply be that real life takes over. 1. The heroine of half a dozen games in the Tomb Raider series, Lara is an archaeologist-cumadventurer with more than a hint of the daredevil about her. Rarely has one character dominated a series the way she has. Mind you, she did take some flak from the feminist brigade initially for her appearance but has of late gained acceptance among them as one who can teach the lads a thing or two when it comes to bullets and brains! The first lady of gaming, without a doubt.
2. The Sims series from EA games is one of the most popular and lucrative of the PC games. Over 98 million Sims games have been sold to date and versions of the games are available in 22 different languages.

3. Games such as Second Life are increasingly offering a bridge between the virtual and real worlds which could be enough to hold girls' interest.

4.Dead or Alive is a video game series produced by Tecmo that comprises primarily fighting games. The story and characters are the creation of Tomonobu Itagaki, and the game was developed by Tecmo's Team Ninja development team.

5.Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball (DOAX) is a beach volleyball game by Tecmo released in 2003 for the Xbox video game console. Showcasing the graphics capabilities of the Xbox, it received late-teen ratings in most regions for its depictions of big breasted women in skimpy bikinis both on and off the beach. Unlike the previous games in the Dead or Alive series, it is a sports game as opposed to a fighting game.
If I think of a story about men's game my title should be like : Top 25 games for men.......
There should be incentive enough for video games makers - and if they build it, then surely women will come.

Make your room clean in just 20 minutes

Some people are naturally good at keeping their rooms tidy, while some of us need to be reminded, whether by a frustrated parent or roommate, or by not being able to walk through our room without tripping over something. The problem is that if your room is a mess, the prospect of cleaning it can seem like an overwhelming task. But if you approach it in "layers" as described below, it'll be much less intimidating and, who knows? You might have some fun!
**Turn off the computer, unless you are going to use your computer to listen to music. Sign off from any chat programs. Don't even take time to put up an "away message". The temptation to chat or browse can be a major pitfall. If you are in the middle of something, then turn off your screen at least.
**Put on an album that you enjoy singing or dancing along with. Stay away from mellow, relaxing music--you need motivation. Turn it up as loud as you're allowed to put it so you're not thinking of anything else. Make a game of seeing how much you can get cleaned up during one song.
**Open all of your curtains or blinds and, if appropriate, the windows themselves to let some light and fresh air in. If you're cleaning at night, just turn on all of the lights. This will allow you to see everything and brighten your cleaning process. If you have a ceiling fan, turn it on. There's a good chance you'll work up a sweat.
**Sweep out everything from under the bed and dressers. You may be surprised to find just how much junk has accumulated there, much of which is probably stuff you'd thought you'd lost or may have simply forgotten about. Separate all of it into four piles: One is trash, the second is give away, the third is recycling, and the last pile is things that should stay in your room.
**Gather the trash and throw it away. Then recycle the recycling. Keeping a garbage bag in the room will help. Pull stuff out from under and behind the rest of your furniture like desks, dressers, end tables, nightstands or bookshelves. Your only concern right now should be trash and recycling so don't put anything else away, and don't start organizing just yet.
**Put everything in your room that you need to put away in a big pile on your bed. When stuff is all over the room it is easy to avoid, but when it's all right there in a big, tall pile, it is almost impossible to leave it there. As you're building up your pile, set any clothes aside in a hamper or in a separate pile.
**Fold or hang your clean clothes and put them away, while throwing the dirty ones in the laundry basket. If you come across something that you haven't worn in quite some time, try it on. If it doesn't fit you, give it to charity, as long as it's not dirty or torn. Organize your closet and dressers. Close all drawers and doors; make sure nothing is sticking out.
**Attack the pile. Put everything in its place - don't just shove everything under the bed and call it a day - but don't organize yet. For example, put all the books where they're supposed to be, like on your bookshelf, but don't get caught up in organizing the bookshelf just yet, or else you'll lose momentum. Just keep grabbing an item from the pile on your bed, put it in its place, and move onto the next item. If you find something that doesn't belong anywhere, either consider giving it away, or make a place for it. Continue putting everything away (stuffed animals, photographs, purses, shoes, and so on) until your bed is cleared.
**If you find things that need to be put in another room (like dishes that belong in the kitchen) grab a laundry basket or box and put those items in there. When you're done putting everything away that belongs in your room, you can go and put the rest of the things away that belong in other rooms. Individually taking the items to their spots in other parts of the house is a big waste of time.
**Time for the bed. Strip it bare. Take off all the bedding and use this opportunity to rotate the mattress. Flipping over your mattress not only increases its lifespan, but it will also feel great to sleep on the under-used side. Now, get out some fresh bedding and change the sheets. Then, finally make your bed. An unmade bed will make any room look messy by itself.
Stack your books and magazines neatly, even those on the floor. Organize your bookshelf if you have one. Dust the books and the shelf surfaces with a feather duster or a moist cloth.
**Clean up your desk, organizing and dusting as you go along. Even a simple dusting can make your desk look more inviting to sit at again.
**Straighten or organize anything else that needs attention. Look around your room and see if there are any spots remaining that look messy. Now is the time to untangle your jewelry, put pairs of shoes together neatly, re-arrange your picture frames, and so on. Focus on the finishing touches.
**Mop or vacuum the floor. Believe it or not, even if the floor isn't too dirty, cleaning it can make your room look much better. Make sure you get into the corners and edges as well.
**Wipe all surfaces with a cloth or paper towel and an appropriate cleanser. Don't forget door knobs, mirrors and windows. If you have a ceiling fan, turn it off and dust it thoroughly with a damp cloth.
**Spray your favorite air freshener or place some bags of dried lavender or potpourri in your room and reward yourself when you are done with something that you enjoy. You earned it!

Choosing a name for your baby is not an easy task

Choosing a name for your precious little newborn baby can be quite a task. Remember that your child will have this name for their whole life, and is your first gift to your child, so make it something special. As you browse through website after website of baby names, it can do one of two things for you. Either it can introduce a name you haven't thought of or it can just cause great confusions and make the task even harder for you .
Here are some tips to help you to get a sweet and great name for your little baby :

1. Furnish the lists of names you love, like, honour etc. and both you and your partner compare the lists - are there names you both love? Add more and strike out you dislike.
2. Some people choose their baby's name based on what it means and it may require a consultation with friends and relatives or a dictionary.
3. One very important factor is if the name will age gracefully, what fits a baby or young child may not fit an older person. Consider this carefully.
4. Make sure the name sounds good with your last name. Pronounce it .
5. Consider carefully names inspired by your religious beliefs i.e. name of God etc, which may not suit the child when he/she grows up .
6. Think about how it might be shortened. People shorten their names, and you need to choose one that you like and will still sound good with the surname .You know, young friends called themselves with horrible shortened names .
7. This is important : Sometimes there are several variations on a name, and different spellings of the same name. A unique spelling may help your child stand out, but may make for headaches when it comes to correcting people and paperwork!
Confused again ? There's a lot of room for the unusual, unique, and offbeat, and the choice is yours. Go as you like , you have the liberty to do it .

Tips for women travellers

Stay Safe, But Don't Stay Home .
It's a fact that women need to travel with a little special care , just remember to follow the same basic street rules ,
1. Make smart choices and use your common sense. Don't be paranoid, but be aware that bad things do happen, and protect yourself.
2.Even when you’re all for spontaneity, pre-book your first night’s accommodation and how to get there to avoid glitches from jetlag and fatigue.
3.Trust your instincts. If you feel something is off, wrong, strange - get out, move on, flee, scream, whatever is appropriate. Do it quickly.
4.Consider avoiding deserted streets after dark; if you can't, then carry a small, heavy flashlight in your hand. Be careful on dark streets even if you have a companion
5.Muggers aren't interested in your bra. Sew pockets into it where you can keep some folded cash; if you do get mugged, you're not left helpless. A money belt works, too, but thieves know all about money belts.
6.If you have to wait somewhere, sit with other women or families to avoid being approached or harassed.Always bring a business card from your hotel when you step out to find your way back. 7.If you’re planning a trip to the wilderness, wear long sleeve blouses and pants to avoid bug bites. Bring toothpaste or cold cream to reduce severe itching when you do get bitten.
8.Dressing well can make a thief think you have mounds of moolah in your bag. And women's dress can be a major issue in some developing countries.
9.Be sure to know when the sun rises and sets. A bustling market can quickly empty out and be transformed into dark deserted streets. Plan to be back to your lodging or in a safe, busy neighborhood by dark.
10.When traveling alone, use public transport and stroll around places where the locals gather to get a feel of the culture and meet new friends.

Men prefer meat, Women prefer vegetables

Men and women have different choices in food, with men favouring meat and poultry, and women fruits and vegetables, researchers said in what was touted as the most extensive study to date of gender differences in eating habits.
More than 14,000 adult men and women were surveyed from May 2006 to April 2007, for the Foodborne Disease Active Surveillance Network (FoodNet), to determine their eating habits, including high risk foods such as undercooked meat and eggs.
To our knowledge, there have been studies in the literature on gender differences in eating habits, but nothing this extensive. Researchers found that men were more likely to eat meat and poultry, especially duck, veal, and ham, and certain shellfish such as shrimp and oysters.
Women instead were more likely to eat vegetables, especially carrots and tomatoes, and fruits, especially strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and apples.
Women also preferred dry foods, such as almonds and walnuts, and were more likely to consume eggs and yogurt when compared with men. The difference remained the same when it came to fruits such as strawberries, raspberries and nuts.
In addition, men were more likely to eat risky foods like undercooked hamburgers and runny eggs, while women were more likely to eat alfalfa sprouts.
There were also some exceptions too : men were significantly more likely to eat asparagus and brussels sprouts than women, while women were more likely to consume fresh hamburgers as opposed to the frozen kind, which the men preferred.

Friends should acknowledge each other. Always take care of the other person’s feelings. Problems in your personal relationships can be avoided if you take time to acknowledge each other’s feelings and points of view.

SHOW EMPATHY
Empathy is when you can identify with your friend’s feelings especially when he is going through a low patch. Don’t be fake.

Affirmation is a powerful tool when it comes to making good friends. But make sure that the praise that you shower upon your friend is genuine.

BE TRUSTWORTHY
Trust and loyalty go hand-in-hand. Do not break your friend’s confidence. Friends can trust you with their secrets. Good friends are forever loyal and do not break each other’s confidence!

FRIENDS DO NOT READ MINDS
Anybody who thinks “If he is my good friend he should be able to read my mind” is being foolish. Friends cannot read each other’s mind. So, always say what you think or feel.

It is always a woman who pulls another women down : An analysis

When women are very little...
From the time that little girls are born, society treats them to fit into a certain mold, a particular characteristics.Little girls should be beautiful, neat, polite, nurturing and well behaved. When she deviates from the identity given to her by society she becomes disillusioned about her self-worth and role in society. This is the root of self-hatred and low self-esteem for many women.
When they grow up...
Women compete with each other in the society, the criteria for winning is usually set by men and the results are subjective and intangible. Women are usually judged by 'the'characteristics that they have little control over; something that they did not create, and that exist outside of themselves - their physical appearance. A women's success is based on external validation by others. She can’t see how to beat her rival because her rival is just physically beautiful than her. How can one really be more beautiful than another woman, when the decision is nothing more than someone else’s opinion of beauty?..and this varies .Women are so busy competing with each other for male attention that they do not have the psychological, intellectual or emotional insight to change the social climate that is causing them to suffer from low-self esteem.
Now, why do women compete with and hate other women?
A. Women feel that other women control their man’s séxual fidelity.
B. Women feel that their level or degree of physical beauty is based on luck as opposed to something that she controls.
C. Women feel that other women can take something that they have worked hard to earn by using their beauty on the job, school and the legal system because men will be taken by her beauty.
D. Women feel that their biological prime-time is limited. She can easily be replaced by a new younger, more beautiful woman. Youth is a woman’s fair-weathered friend.
E. Women feel that other women can not be trusted. They gossip too much, they are phony and they would take your man right before your eyes.
F. Women subconsciously believe that if they merely looked like another woman, they could inherit her life, her diamond, her man, and people would look at her with the same admiration.
G. Women feel that other women divert attention away from them.
H. Women feel psychologically competitive with other women to be more attractive.
Women celebrities are jealous about ...
Keira Knightley is jealous of other women’s legs. Paris Hilton believes that Nicole Richie is ‘jealous’ of her and that’s the reason for their sour relationship. So heartbroken, Paris even once wrote a song ‘Jealousy’ for her ex-girlfriend.

Feel and manipulate 3-D images

A controller developed at Carnegie Mellon University allows computer users to manipulate three-dimensional images and explore virtual environments not only through sight and sound, but by using their sense of touch.
The device, expected to be used mainly for research, training and industrial purposes, comes close to the sensitivity of the human hand.
Using magnetic fields, the socalled haptic device replicates the response a hand might have to textures and gravitational forces, the devices convey the sense of touch.
The controller — like a joystick topped with a block that can be grasped — has just one moving part and rests in a bowl-like structure connected to a computer. Two of the controllers can be used simultaneously to pick up and move virtual objects on a monitor.
Researchers had built 10 of the devices, six of which were to be sent to other universities across US and in Canada, and that a new company, Butterfly Haptics, would begin marketing the device in June or July.
The controller, which will cost “much less” than $50,000, could enable a would-be surgeon to operate on a virtual human organ and sense the texture of tissue or give a designer the feeling of fitting a part into a virtual jet engine.
The interface might also convey the feeling of wind under the wings of unmanned military planes.

Sëx in the space ?

Sëx in space is distinguished mainly by the absence of gravity (unless artificial gravity is created in the space ship) which leads to some difficulties surrounding the performing of most sëxual activities.
Because no certain sëxual intërcoursë in space is known to have occurred, the topic is hotly disputed to clarify its potential impact on human beings in the isolated, confined, and hazardous environment of space.
Zero Gravity sëx in fiction:
Science fiction and popular science writer Isaac Asimov made conjectures in writing about what sëx would be like in the weightless environment of space, in 1973. He anticipated some of the benefits of engaging in sëx in an environment of microgravity. Zero-gravity sëx is a common topic in science-fiction.
Zero Gravity sëx in movies :
*In the James Bond film Moonraker, James Bond (played by Roger Moore), who is typically amorous, and the Bond girl, Dr. Holly Goodhead, have sëx in the cargo bay of the Moonraker 5 Space Shuttle in one scene.
*The Sci-fi horror Supernova (2000) featured sëx between several of the characters in zero-gravity areas of the Medical Ship.
What about NASA :
A new book written by a French astronomer, however, alleges NASA studied the feasibility of 10 sëx positions in space during a space shuttle mission in 1996, though this claim has been discredited, and has been vigorously denied by NASA. (Six of the positions required the aid of an elastic belt to hold the partners together, the author writes in the book, "The Last Mission.")
NASA does not ban sëx between crewmembers.
"We depend and rely on the professionalism and good judgment of our astronauts," said NASA spokesman Ed Campion. "There is nothing specifically or formally written down about sëx in space."

Serious issue over a tissue

Tissue paper is a major source of waste. Use handkerchief instead. It takes 6,000,000 trees to make one-year's worth of tissues for the world.
Its a serious crime to environment as well as mankind .

The World’s Slowest Express Train

The Glacier Express runs from Zermatt to St. Moritz (or vice versa) in about 7 .5 hours, making it the slowest express train in the world. This breathtakingly scenic journey to the roof of the world includes 291 bridges and viaducts, 91 tunnels and the 6,669-foot Oberalp Pass, for a total of about 180 miles through rugged alpine landscapes. In this case, the journey truly is the destination.

The train traverses not only a diverse physical landscape but also cultural and linguistic ones. Traveling through the cantons of Valais, Uri and Graubunden, you’ll hear French, German, Romansh, Italian and numerous dialects and see distinctly changing architecture.

For sightseeing fans, the ever-changing countryside exceeds all expectations, in any season. There are green valleys with grazing cows, picturesque villages in the Goms valley, castles perched along the Domleschg ridge, the high alpine lake on the Oberalp Pass, the craggy rock bluffs of Switzerland’s “Grand Canyon,” and, of course, the Matterhorn, mountain symbol of Switzerland.

Integrated circuit on the forehead as 'bindi'

Bindi in India goes unchecked - harmful ?

The 'bindi', the ubiquitous mark on the forehead of Indian women is facing a problem in the distant US where a manufacturer has been forced to withdraw a batch along with other cosmetics products from the market owing to its high lead content.

In the land of its birth, the bindi, however, continues to be manufactured unchecked as there is no agency to monitor the usage and harmful effects of spurious products.

The cosmetics industry is not at all regulated in India. There's no apex body to control this in India.
What's worse is the fact that most of the branded products in the market do not carry the mandatory label of ingredients, colouring agent (chemicals used) and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) mark and no declaration whatsoever that that the products are manufactured from any carcinogenic or any harmful ingredients.

According to experts, 'sindoor' or 'kumkum' readily available in market often contains high amount of harmful materials.

The best loved root vegetable-Carrots

Years before, vegetables were often served merely as an accessory to meat. But carrots always made an appearance, often overcooked but still eaten. Young carrots braised in butter are intensely flavoured and sweet, while steamed carrots are tender. Carrots grated into salads taste fresh and clean, while in casseroles, they are savoury with the characteristic carrot flavour. In soups they are fragrant and mild, and in cakes their flavour can hardly be detected, yet their sweetness adds richness.
The orange-coloured taproot of the carrot contains a high concentration of beta-carotene. Beta-carotene is a substance that is converted to vitamin A in the human body. A 1/2 cup serving of cooked carrots contains four times the recommended daily intake of vitamin A in the form of protective beta-carotene. Betacarotene is also a powerful antioxidant effective in fighting against some forms of cancer, especially lung cancer. Current research suggests that it may also protect against stroke, and heart disease. Carrots are also a very good source of dietary fibre, vitamin C, vitamin K, foliate and manganese, and a good source of vitamin B6, pantothenic acid and iron. But to obtain maximum benefit it is best to eat them raw.

Wine , Fish and Chocolate fights with Wrinkles

WINE
Drinking alcohol in moderation protects against heart disease, diabetes and age-related memory loss. Any kind of alcoholic beverage seems to provide such benefits, but red wine has been the focus of much of the research. Red wine contains resveratrol, a compound that contributes to its benefits — and, according to animal studies, may activate genes that slow cellular aging.
FISH
Thirty years ago, researchers began to study why the native Inuits of Alaska were remarkably free of heart disease. The reason, scientists now think, is the extraordinary amount of fish they consume. Fish is an abundant source of omega-3 fats, which help prevent cholesterol build-up in arteries and protect against abnormal heart rhythms.
CHOCOLATE
The Kuna people of the San Blas islands, off the coast of Panama, have a rate of heart disease that is nine times less than that of mainland Panamanians. The reason? The Kuna drink plenty of a beverage made with generous proportions of cocoa, which is unusually rich in flavanols that help preserve the healthy function of blood vessels. Maintaining youthful blood vessels lowers risk of high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, kidney disease and dementia.

Love in the time of AIDS

The doumentary Love (and Babies) in the Time of AIDS, A Journey to India follows HIV/AIDS activist Thembi Ngubane, 23, as she travels from her humble home in Khayelitsha, South Africa to the bustling centre of Bollywood in Mumbai, India.

The movie, initially shown in Africa this past year to commemorate World AIDS Day, focuses on Thembi’s discovery at the age of 16 that was living with HIV. Her ex-boyfriend had died from the disease.

The revelation transformed Thembi from a carefree girl into a young woman focused on staying healthy for her unborn child while spreading awareness about the deadly virus and the importance of education in HIV prevention.

”When you are dating a person, you are young and you think this person is cool and you think you are the only one. All that love stuff is all you think of,” Thembi says in the documentary. “I was sure I caught the virus from him.”

Eat and get glowing skin

* Low-fat dairy products.

The best sources for vitamin A. The health of your skin cells depends on dietary vitamin A.

* Blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, plums.

These four fruits rate the highest when it comes to ‘total antioxidant capacity’. And you do know that antioxidants are great secrets to healthy skin!

* Healthy Oils.

Get the ones with essential fatty acids, like olive oil and canola oil. Good-quality oils keep skin well-lubricated.

* Wholewheat bread, muffins and cereals.

These are rich in selenium, which is known to work well against acne and also as an antioxidant.

* Green tea.

This deserves a category all its own in any article about foods for skin. It is anti-inflammatory and protects the cell membrane. It may even help prevent or reduce the risk of skin cancer.

* Water.
While the exact amount you should drink each day varies, no one disputes the role that good hydration plays in keeping your skin looking healthy and youthful. Though fluids like juice and soups are good, nothing works better than water.

Take flattering pictures of yourself

1 A good way to take a self-photo is by using a mirror. Make sure the camera’s not blocking your face, unless you want it to.

2 Don’t always look directly into the camera lens! Everyone does that. Look above, below, to the right or to the left of the lens for some intriguing poses.

3 If you don’t want to have the camera in the picture with you, stand in front of a mirror and hold the camera out so you can see yourself in the screen even though the camera is facing you.

It is For your eyes only

Eye Care: Some Dos & Don’ts

1.Never work in dim light

2.Wear sunglasses out in the sun

3.Do not read continuously in moving vehicles, take break .

4.Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables such as carrots, spinach, papaya and mangoes because these are enriched with beta carotene and are excellent for healthy eyes and proper vision

5.Apply cucumber water or thin slices of cucumber to the skin around the eyes, especially if this skin is looking dry . It improves your vision and also reduces puffs and bags under the eyes. This the best and easiest eye care tips .

6.Apply all-natural eye drops .

7.Splash eyes with cold water. Apply cotton wool pads, soaked in warm milk, light tea solution or rose water on the eyes. Press gently and leave for 10 minutes

8.Do regular eye exercise and make it a practice.

Exercise For The Eyes

1.Lift the eyes to the ceiling and then to the floor. Repeat. Look straight ahead, then to the left and then to the right. Repeat. Make a circle, first clockwise and then anticlockwise, with the eyes. Repeat

2.Rub your hands together until they feel warm, close your eyes and cover them lightly with cupped palms. Without applying too much pressure on the closed eyelids, place your palms on your eyes so that your nose remains uncovered, and no light rays are able to enter the eyes. Take deep breaths slowly and evenly, and relax yourself, and after your eyes see nothing but blackness, remove your palms from your eyes. Repeat

The space elevator

A space elevator is a proposed megastructure designed to transport material from a celestial body's surface into space. The term most often refers to a structure that reaches from the surface of the Earth to geosynchronous orbit (GSO) and a counter-mass beyond.
Current technology does not make available, in engineering quantities, materials that are sufficiently strong and light to build a space elevator for the most interesting case, from the Earth's surface to GSO. The Earth's effective gravitational potential well is simply too deep. However, the total mass of material needed to construct such a structure is an extremely strong function (exponential) of the strength and density of the supporting cable material. Carbon nanotubes appear to be interestingly close to making this possibility practical. Recent proposals for a space elevator are notable in their plans to incorporate carbon nanotubes into the tether design, thus providing a link between space exploration and nanotechnology. Because the Moon's gravitational potential well is approximately 20 times less deep than Earth's, a lunar cable, over the Earth-Moon Lagrangian point, L1, appears to be feasible even with current commercial materials, and could revolutionize the economics of the space use of lunar materials.
Despite all the daunting problems that face them, the space elevator enthusiasts say with research, time and money, they'll find a solution.
They insist that one day there will be lots of elevators ferrying satellites, prospectors and even tourists into space. They say the benefits of having them in space will be worth all the efforts.
Right now the cost of getting into space is one of the major blocks to more exploration. Mervyn Kellum has done studies on the cost of transportation comparing rockets to the space elevator.

Sit back , A robot will fill fuel to your car

Motorists nostalgic for the time they could sit tight while attendants braved windswept garage forecourts to fill their tanks may yet see those heady days return — compliments of a Dutch robot.
Dutch inventors unveiled a 75,000 euro ($111,100) car-fuelling robot they say is the first of its kind, working by registering the car on arrival at the filling station and matching it to a database of fuel cap designs and fuel types.
A robotic arm fitted with multiple sensors extends from a regular petrol pump, carefully opens the car’s flap, unscrews the cap, picks up the fuel nozzle and directs it toward the tank opening, much as a human arm would, and as efficiently.
“I was on a farm and I saw a robotic arm milking a cow. If a robot can do that then why can’t it fill a car tank, I thought,” said developer and petrol station operator Nico van Staveren. “Drivers needn’t get dirty hands or smell of petrol again.”
He hopes to introduce the “Tankpitstop” robot in a handful of Dutch stations by the end of the year. It works for any car whose tank can be opened without a key, and whose contours and dimensions have been recorded to avoid scratching.
Asked whether he would trust his car to a robotic garage attendant, Jelger De Kroon, filling his black Alfa Romeo at a nearby petrol station, said: “Why not? I guess I could keep my hands free and clean, but I’d hope they have good insurance.”
Robots have taken over many jobs traditionally performed by humans. Car production is the primary example. Over the last three decades automobile factories have become dominated by robots. Other fields include the packaging industry and the electronics industry.
