Dating Someone With Children

Dating can be complicated enough on it’s own but when there are children involved things can get even trickier.

Many people shy away from starting a relationship with a partner who already has children and many singles with children are also apprehensive about starting a relationship. While dating a person with children can lead to a wonderful relationship it is important to exercise caution to ensure that the children are not hurt by the relationship. While the existence of children in a dating situation does complicate things, it does not have to destine the relationship to failure.

Deciding when to meet the children of the person you are dating is a crucial element of the equation. It is not necessary to meet the children on the first date. Doing so can be confusing to the children if the relationship does not progress and you are soon out of the picture. While it is important that the person you are dating disclose that they have children, meeting them is not a necessary first step. It’s important that the relationship has a chance to grow before bringing the children into the equation.

After all, while the children may be an important part of your partner’s life, you have to have some time to decide if you think this is a worthwhile relationship before deciding if you want to become a parental figure in the children’s lives. If you have been dating for awhile and things are starting to become more serious, now would be a good time to meet your partner’s children and get to know them as well. You don’t want to rush into meeting the children too early in your relationship but you also don’t want to wait too long either. Waiting until marriage plans are already under way will leave the children feeling helpless and powerless about the situation. Meeting the children of the person you are dating is an important step in your relationship and the timing of this step is also very important.

What does Manganese (Mn) do to glass?

Some of the oldest compounds used in the colouring glass are manganese compounds. Evidence is found in early Egyptian purple glass that manganese is present.

Manganese in its low state of oxidation is colourless, but it is a powerful oxidising agent and can be used for decolourising purposes to oxidise the iron content. Glassmakers have over the years substituted manganese by sodium nitrate or selenium in decolourising. Manganese is mainly used in the production of purple glass resembling the colour of potassium permanganate (KMnO4) crystals.

The purple colour is achieved by the trivalent manganese however in its divalent state it only imparts a weak yellow or brown colour which are responsible for the green and orange fluorescence of manganese glass.

How to Go To a Movie Alone

WHY NOT ALONE ?
Can't convince any of your friends to see the new Horror/Romance this Friday? Fighting the knowledge that you enjoy Tearjerkers much more when you're alone? Break the social faux-pas, go to the movies by yourself, and enjoy it.

1. Try to pick something you could think of renting for a solo night in.

2.Choose a movie you're going to be able to enjoy by yourself. If you can't love a comedy without being able to elbow-nudge a friend, or can't sit through horror without a hand to grip, don't choose one of those films for your first outing alone.

3. Choose your seat with care. If you're apt to go to the bathroom four times per movie, sit on the edge of an aisle. If you want to chat up some strangers, find a center seat. If you want to watch in solitude, try the far front or side wings.

5. Concession wisely. If you must get up and refill your soda during the movie, be aware there will be no one to tell you what happened to little Susie when you get back.

6.Try to take care of these things before the lights dim.

7. Make conversation. Only do this if you want to make new friends, and you're comfortable with it. Going out alone can be a fantastic opportunity polish up social skills and meet new people. Talking about expectations before a film and reactions afterward are a perfect ice breaker for the crowds that may be surrounding you during your movie going experience.

How to choose size of children shoes

Kids go through enough shoes that you may want to consider a plan just for their feet. Toddler's feet can grow an entire size or more every three months, and rough-and-tumble play takes its toll. Shopping for kids' shoes, though, doesn't need to be daunting. The key is to keep up with growth spurts by having your child's feet properly measured on a regular basis.

1.Wait wait
Wait to buy shoes until your child starts to walk. Research suggests that children develop healthy, well-developed feet when they learn to walk barefoot. Keep their feet toasty and unrestricted with soft booties or warm skid-free socks. Robeez (robeez.com) makes thin but warm leather moccasins in a range of colors and sizes that actually stay on little crawlers' feet.
2.Find a good Store
When it's time for your baby's first pair of shoes, take your well rested, recently fed child to a quality children's shoe store that stock brands . The best stores have patient and knowledgeable salespeople who are expert at fitting children's feet.
3.Measurement

Have the salesperson measure the length and width of both of the child's feet. Many babies have an extra wide foot and may need a special size.
4.Fitting
Make sure the shoes aren't too big, which can cause a baby to trip. First shoes should be soft and pliable to let new walkers feel the ground.

How to get rid of morning sickness

Try the following tips :

* Mix half a teaspoon of ginger juice, one teaspoon of fresh lime juice, one teaspoon of mint juice and one teaspoon of honey to be taken three to four times a day.

* Juice from 15-20 tender curry leaves with two teaspoons of lime juice and one teaspoon of honey to be taken four times a day.

* One teaspoon of mint juice, lime juice with honey, three times a day.

* Don't drink and eat at the same time. In other words, drink your fluids between meals, instead of during meals, to avoid too much bulk in the stomach.

*Take a walk. Exercise can sometimes help alleviate symptoms. Plus, it's good for your body. Be sure to check with your doctor before trying anything more strenuous than a walk, however.

*Don't forget to brush. If you do succumb to vomiting, take good care of your teeth by brushing afterward (at least rinse your mouth if you can't brush right away). Otherwise, the frequent contact with the harsh acids in your vomit can eat away at tooth enamel.

Skipping Fun

* Skipping is something everybody can do in their spare time

*It’s a simple and fun exercise and once you get the hang of it, you’re bound to like it

*Skipping is not complicated at all. It’s as simple as popping a pill. All you need is to learn the ropes (pun intended)

*Skipping is certainly not rocket science. All you need is a bit of muscular coordination

* The effort it takes to jump the rope for 10 minutes equals to running a mile in 8 minutes

* One hour of skipping burns 1,300 calories. Not bad at all for something that only requires a piece of rope and some free time. What say?

* Skipping also does a better job of protecting your joints from strain injury

* Skipping is good for your arms. As the shoulders get a really good workout from keeping that rope in motion.

Fern feature !

Ferns do not produce seeds, but they do produce spores on the underside of their leaves. To grow new ferns from your existing one, you can simply plant the spores. Carefully collect spores from a mature leaf frond by shaking the leaf over a piece of white paper. Sprinkle these spores on to moist potting soil in a glass jar. Cover the jar with clear plastic and keep it in a warm, lighted area. Wait until your ferns mature and grow (about 12 inches) to transplant them into your garden
• SOIL: Ferns prefer well drained sandy or humus rich soil. Elevated beds work well, providing good aeration and drainage

• LIGHT: Indirect light is best for healthy growth of ferns. Avoid direct afternoon sunlight. Filtered sun or early morning and late afternoon sunlight will produce a healthier, stronger plant

• FERTILISING: Ferns that are growing in humus rich soil, will require very little fertiliser. Use a fertilise that is high in nitrogen, about once a month during the growing season

• WATERING: Good watering practices are crucial for healthy ferns. During the growing season, you may have to water often. Depending on the weather, this may mean watering every few days. Most ferns prefer a moist, humid environment. Good drainage is also necessary to prevent drowning the plant

• CARING: The leaf of a fern is called the frond. Remove dead fronds periodically to ensure they look fresh and healthy

Heal with Haldi ( Turmeric ) !

Intestinal Disorders:

Turmeric is an antiseptic. The juice or powder, mixed in buttermilk or plain water heals intestinal problems, especially chronic diarrhoea and flatulence.

Worms:

About 20 drops of the juice of raw turmeric, mixed with a pinch of salt, taken first thing in the morning daily, is considered an effective remedy for expelling worms.

Anaemia:

Turmeric is rich in iron. A teaspoon of raw turmeric juice, mixed with honey, taken every day is beneficial.

Measles:

Turmeric roots dried in the sun, ground to a fine powder and mixed with a few drops of honey and the juice of a few bitter gourd leaves makes a concoction to cure the bothersome measles.

Asthma:

A teaspoon of turmeric powder with a glass of milk, twice or thrice daily, works wonders for the painful bronchial asthma.

Cough and Cold:

Turmeric is an effective household remedy for chronic cough and throat irritations. Mix half a teaspoon of fresh turmeric powder in 30 ml of warm milk for a quick cure. To prepare this, milk is poured on a hot ladle with turmeric in it and boiled over a slow fire. In case of a running cold, smoke from burning turmeric can be inhaled. This increases the discharge from the nose and brings quicker relief.

Hypnotherapy !

It’s a dimly lit room. Only the soft, translucent glow of a table lamp falls on an easy chair, to which I’m directed. “How long will it take?,” I ask. “An hour, perhaps more,” I’m told. “Try and make it fast,” I want to say, but don’t.
After all, I’m in for a session of hypnotherapy—and one should watch one’s words before getting hypnotised. Who knows what one might be asked to do once the hypnosis is complete? But then, I needn’t have worried. For, hypnotherapy, the practice of
using hypnosis to heal, is a perfectly safe and effective way of healing, where you are in total control, even after you are hypnotised.

CARING THE MIND

“Through hypnotherapy, the subconscious mind reaches a heightened state of alert. At the same time, the conscious mind is also active and you are perfectly aware of all that is going on,” says hypnotherapist Ashis Ganguly.
It is believed that all our experiences—of this life as well as past ones—are stored in our subconscious mind. It’s these experiences that manifest as diseases. Which is why,
suggestions given during hypnosis help in annulling negative energies stored within the subconscious.
Relationship problems rooted in past lives can also be effectively treated through hypnotherapy and other techniques that help one regress to a past life. However, more on past life regression next time. Till then, watch this space...

Mud therapy !

Naturopathy in the form of regular stomach mud baths came to Gandhiji's rescue. So, what makes naturopathy work? Naturopathy stimulates the body’s natural healing processes by ridding it of waste products and toxins. This is achieved by activating the body through baths and massages and is supplemented by a diet that suits the system.
Mud Therapy simplified
This exploits the beneficial effects that the application of thermal mud has on the organism.
This is a kind of generalised thermotherapy with a high therapeutic effectiveness in the treatment of many locomotorium disorders.
Methods
Partial mask with shower to remove mud

Partial mud mask + therapeutic bath in hydromassage pool

Partial mud mask + ozonised hydromassage in individual tub

Total mud mask + therapeutic bath in hydromassage pool

The must haves for woman about sex !

1. EVERY WOMAN HAS A SUREFIRE HAPPY-MAKING POSITION—FIND YOURS
By all means, try new things, mix it up, find an alternate use for things at hand if it adds to the variety—figure out your no-fail move or position so you can always have an orgasm when you need one.

2. THAT POSITION MAY CHANGE
Maybe in your misspent youth you were all about acrobatics and funky props, but now you strive for a deep connection with your guy. (Or maybe it’s the other way around!) What you crave, both physically and emotionally, can shift over time.

3. HE DOESN’T HAVE A FLAW-O-METER
That would be you scanning your body for an errant paunch or a dimple in the wrong place. During sexual arousal, men are experiencing such a neurochemical cocktail rush, they’re really just caught up in the intoxication of it all. In other words, he’s too overwhelmed with joy to notice your flaws.

4. SEX IN A SOFT, CLEAN, COMFY BED IS UNDERRATED
You’re supposed to want to do it on the kitchen floor, in the airplane bathroom, and hanging from your light fixtures. Bah! There’s no shame in enjoying your good sheets.

5. SEX CLICHÉS ARE CLICHÉS FOR A REASON: THEY WORK
Get a hotel room. Have date night. Take a bubble bath. For God’s sake, buy some scented candles!

6. EVERYONE ELSE IS NOT HAVING MORE (OR BETTER) SEX THAN YOU ARE
There is no normal amount we should all aspire to, no magic number of times per month that signifies your relationship is hunky-dory.

7. ASKING FOR WHAT YOU WANT IS WORTH THE EMBARRASSMENT
What’s a brief awkward moment of sounding like one of those women at the end of a helpline number compared to, well, getting what you need?
8. YOU NEED TRANSITION TIME INTO SEX
Look at all the people who want a piece of you—your kid, your client, the guy who’s supposed to be renovating your kitchen. So don’t expect to make the leap from corporate exec or general contractor or mommy-on-the-spot to sex goddess without a little time to reassemble yourself. When you’re done with the dinner dishes, take a shower—alone—or read a book.

9. THE MORE SEX YOU HAVE, THE MORE YOU WANT
It’s simple: Delicious recent memories make you want to reenact the fun. But the reverse is also often true—if you go too
long without, you forget how much you like it.

10. WORRYING ABOUT YOUR ORGASM IS THE BEST WAY TO CHASE IT AWAY
When your mind is roiling, it’s not happening... concentrate.... he’ll think he failed... what’s wrong with me? you’re thinking, not feeling. Focus on the lovely physical sensations instead and soon you won’t be able to think straight in a good way.

11. PLANNED SEX CAN BE EVEN BETTER THAN SPONTANEOUS SEX
Anticipation as foreplay. Think about it.
12. HE DOESN’T NEED YOU TO KNOW ANY FANCY TECHNIQUES
There are many paths to male orgasm. As long as you pay attention to his reactions, refrain from inflicting pain (unless invited to) and don’t do anything involving teeth (again, unless he asks), you won’t hear any complaints.
13. SOMETIMES WHAT YOUR BODY LUSTS FOR MOST IS SLEEP
An off night or a dry spell doesn’t mean your relationship is tanking. It usually means you have children or a demanding job or you need to be alone in your head. Go ahead, take the night off.

14. BUT SOMETIMES ‘JUST DO IT’ REALLY DOES WORK
If you wait to be struck with a spontaneous urge to tear his clothes off, you may be waiting a very long time. But if you simply decide to give it a go, your body (and your desire) will often catch up.
15. YOUR BIRTH CONTROL METHOD IS NOT TILL DEATH DO US PART
You need to reevaluate your pregnancyprevention method at least twice in your adult life, when you go from wild woman to a mutually monogamous relationship, and after you have children. Your body changes post-baby and your habits may change, too.
16. PAIN DURING INTERCOURSE IS NOT NORMAL
Occasional discomfort may just mean that you’re tense or haven’t had enough foreplay, but if sex hurts often, see your doctor. It could be as simple as a low-grade urinary tract infection.
17. SEX IS HOW HE SHOWS LOVE
It’s an age-old problem: We gals need to feel cozy and loving to want to have sex, and guys need to have sex to access those cozy and loving feelings. A lot of guys don’t have many outlets for communication, and for them sex is a powerful form of emotional expression.

18. NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WANT TO CUDDLE AND FALL ASLEEP, YOU GOT TO GET UP AND PEE AFTER SEX
So you don’t get a urinary tract infection.

It's Picnic time folks !

The most difficult task of a picnic is remembering everything. Make a list on the computer of everything you might need for a picnic. Then as you pack, check off the items that you really need. Save the list for the next picnic trip. When you return, add items that you wished you had taken. Eventually, you’ll have the perfect list for your family.
Everyone likes to lounge on a picnic blanket but, sometimes, the ground is wet. Bring along a plastic tarp to put underneath the blanket.
Pick your picnic spot strategically. If mosquitoes are a problem, choose a higher, drier spot. On the other hand, if staying warm is a problem, choose a spot exposed to the sun and protected from cool breezes. If it’s hot, pick a spot in the shade in the hottest part of the afternoon.
Think safety. If you have kids along, make sure there are no hazards nearby like busy roads, deep water, etc.
Don’t forget the tablecloth. Inexpensive, plastic-coated ones make great picnic equipment, especially with kids.
Speaking of kids, don’t forget paper towels for those spills and cleaning wipes to cleanse dirty hands and faces. Put a dry towel and a wet washcloth on your list.
Bring plenty of liquids. Water is the best hydrator but consider juices and slushes. Try freezing punches or juices to a slush to take along in a cooler.
Include fruits in your picnic basket. Add fruits and fruit pieces to green salads and turkey or chicken salads.
Bring along a cutting board and a couple of good knives. Cutting boards are especially useful if you are without a picnic table. The hard plastic types are great for picnics.
Perishable foods must be kept cold. Bacteria grow best above forty degrees, and it takes plenty of ice in a cooler to keep foods below 40 degrees. Perishable foods should only be allowed to remain above 40 degrees for a couple of hours. Stick a first-aid kit and a calamine lotion in the car and leave it there. In case the weather changes, be prepared to retreat to a place of shelter. Waiting out there is much more pleasant with a few good books or a game the family enjoys. If you are going into the mountains or woods – or anywhere off the beaten track – be sure that someone you trust knows where you are going and when you plan to return. Carry folding camp stools. They are comfortable, inexpensive and compact. With these, you can stop anywhere and have a comfortable picnic. Include games and books. Frisbees and balls work for the kids. A badminton set works for the adults. And it’s nice to have a couple of interesting books along that you never find time to read at home. So, why not set off for a picnic right away?

Peas, Peas !

When most people think of peas, they remember them as the food that they loved to hate when they were children, yet one that was extremely fun to play with on their plates. Yet, many of them have become adults and learned to appreciate this vibrant and delicious legume due to its wonderful taste and texture. There are generally three types of peas that are commonly eaten: garden or green peas, snow peas and snap peas. Garden peas have rounded pods that are usually slightly curved with a smooth texture and vibrant green colour. Inside them are green rounded pea seeds that are sweet and starchy in taste.
Green peas provide nutrients, including vitamin C, which are instrumental in helping to prevent the development of cancer. A high intake of vitamin C has been shown to reduce the risks for virtually all forms of cancer, including leukemia, lymphoma, and lung, colorectal, and pancreatic cancers as well as sex hormone-related cancers like breast, prostate, cervix, and ovarian cancers. Vitamin C is your body’s first and most effective line of antioxidant protection. Vitamin C protects cell structures like DNA from damage; it helps the body deal with environmental pollution and toxic chemicals; it enhances immune function and it inhibits the formation of cancer-causing compounds in the body.

* All peas are good sources of vitamin A, C, folate, iron and phosphorus

* Frozen peas retain their colour, flavour and nutrients better than canned ones and are lower in sodium

* Peas freeze beautifully if they are fresh. Fresh frozen peas do not need to be cooked upon thawing. Just add to soups, stews or heat briefly before serving

* Green peas provide nutrients that are important for maintaining bone health. They are a very good source of vitamin K1, which activates osteocalcin, the major noncollagen protein in bone. Osteocalcin anchors calcium molecules inside the bone .

How much time do you spend with your children ?

Thousands of dads have spent the much-needed quality time with their kids this Christmas. But how can they make sure this closeness lasts through 2008? A recent survey found that one in four kids don’t count their father as being part of their family.
BE A GREAT DAD :-
1.Balance work and family time:
Young children will demand your time as soon as you get home — regardless of how difficult your day has been. Try to leave work behind you by avoiding starting stressful jobs in the last half hour of the day and winding down on your way home by listening to music.
2.Have a ‘getting home’ routine:
A big hug when you walk through the front door and taking time to listen to what your child has been up to is crucial. Try to set aside time each night to help them with everyday tasks.
3.Find out what’s going on in their life:
Asking questions that require more than a yes or no answer will open up the possibility of real conversation between you.
4.Remember one-on-one time:
If you have more than one child, try to spend time with them individually. Doing things you both enjoy helps develop skills and interests.
5.Help with schoolwork:
Reading stories instills good habits and creates a great bedtime routine. At weekends, surf the Internet with your kids. Volunteer to pick up your child from school, taking the opportunity to visit their classroom and meet their teacher.
6.Carve out some Dad-only time:
Keep Saturday or Sunday mornings as “Dadonly” time. And plan something fun to do.
7.If you only see your kids on weekends...:
Make concrete arrangements and stick to them. Forget expensive trips or gifts — your children will benefit most from time spent doing everyday activities.
